ArtistEnsembleVienna

The ArtistEnsembleVienna, under the direction of Prof. PhD Mag. Werner Hackl, has established an outstanding reputation as one of the most interesting ensembles of its kind. The performers are professional musicians, students, and graduates of the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts, Magister artium und Doctor of Philosophy. In addition to their orchestral work, each individual artist brings extensive solo experience to the table. The repertoire encompasses music from the Renaissance, Baroque, and Viennese Classical periods to contemporary chamber music. The ensemble’s size varies from a quartet to a large chamber ensemble. Successful performances range from Bach to Zemlinsky, with a consistent emphasis on collaborations with excellent artists, soloists, and choirs. In addition to its concert activities, the orchestra is also frequently invited to perform at festivals and celebrations. The ensemble is also committed to education, offering lecture-recitals under the title “Experience Music – Understand Music”, concerts specifically for children, schoolchildren, and university students. A particular focus of the ensemble is its collaboration with renowned organists. Challenged in various ways through concerts, musical theatre and church music, the orchestra has acquired a high artistic horizon.
