The ArtistOrchestraVienna has become an epitome of high-quality music. The idea of a work-appropriate interpretation led to its founding in 1970. The artists are leading Austrian musicians and graduates of the Vienna University of Music and are dedicated to the cultivation of great works of choral and orchestral literature as well as opera and operetta. The size of the orchestra ranges from chamber music to a large symphony orchestra. Every single musician can point to great solo experience.
Through the joy of making music together, the orchestra has earned a permanent place in the Austrian and international music scene. Acclaimed concerts in Vienna and guest tours mark the collaboration with numerous renowned soloists. Traditionally, the orchestra leader invites young soloists who are considered newcomers.

International guest appearances led the orchestra to several successful tours to China as the ‘Vienna Palace Orchestra’.
