Josef Schantl (1842-1902) war ein österreichischer Hornist und gilt als Wiedererwecker der österreichischen Jagdmusik. Schantl begann 1857 seine Orchesterlaufbahn in der Kapelle von Johann Strauss, 1870 trat er in das Orchester der k. u. k. Hofoper in Wien als Hornist ein und wurde auch bald Solohornist. Er wirkte dort bis zu seiner Pensionierung. Im Jahre 1878 wurde Schantl Mitglied der Hofmusikkapelle.
Julius Graf Andrássy von Csík-Szent-Király (geb. 1823 in Kaschau, gest. 1890 in Volosca, Österreichisches Küstenland ) war ein ungarischer Magnat, Aufständischer gegen Habsburg und führender Politiker in der österreichischen-ungarischen Doppelmonarchie. Bei der Reorganisation der Monarchie durch den Ausgleich wurde Andrássy 1867 zum ungarischen Ministerpräsidenten gewählt. Er genoss das besondere Vertrauen des Kaiserpaares Franz Joseph und Elisabeth.
Josef Schantl (1842-1902) was an Austrian horn player and is considered to have brought Austrian hunting music back to life. Schantl began his orchestral career in 1857 in the orchestra of Johann Strauss, in 1870 he joined the orchestra of the k. u. k. Opera in Vienna as a horn player and soon became solo horn player. He worked there until his retirement. In 1878 Schantl became a member of the court band.
Julius Count Andrássy von Csík-Szent-Király (born 1823 in Košice, died 1890 in Volosca, Austrian Littoral) was a Hungarian magnate, anti-Habsburg insurgent and leading politician in the Austro-Hungarian Dual Monarchy. During the reorganization of the monarchy through the Compensation, Andrássy was elected Prime Minister of Hungary in 1867. He enjoyed the special trust of the imperial couple Franz Joseph and Elisabeth.
