Anton Wunderer (1850-1906) war ein österreichischer Hornist und Komponist. Nach dem Horn-Studium am Konservatoriums der Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde, war er zunächst an der Warschauer Oper als Hornist und anschließend am Wiener Carltheater tätig. Von 1885 bis 1906 hatte er die Stelle als Kapellmeister der Bühnenmusik und Korrepetitor an der Wiener Hofoper inne. Zu seinen Schülern gehörte u. a. Franz Liftl. Wunderer war Mitglied im berühmten Hornquartett von Josef Schantl, das 1883 zur Gründung des Wiener Waldhornvereins führte.
Anton Wunderer (1850-1906) was an Austrian horn player and composer. After studying horn at the Conservatory of the Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde, he worked as a horn the Warsaw Opera and then at the Carltheater in Vienna. From 1885 to 1906 he held the position of conductor of the stage music and répétiteur at the Vienna Court Opera. His students included Franz Liftl. Wunderer was a member of Josef Schantl’s famous horn quartet, which led to the founding of the Vienna French Horn Association in 1883.
